Also this week my kids and wife FINALLY broke through and tried Shashimi (raw fish) and Roe (Fish eggs).
The best part of all of this is that everyone really truly enjoyed all the foods we had and we definately spent less on our food bill this week. Eating Fresh and Local is fun and exciting and I personally get inspired to cook more and better.

Did they actually like the raw fish and fish eggs? Did you bribe them with anything to get them to eat it?
No bribes here…… my kids understand they have to try new stuff and they also know that their taste buds develop throughout life so they have to try things they didnt like before again and again. Having said that they all seemed to enjoy the fish and fish eggs. I doubt they will be on my sushi diet plan anytime soon but they will try more and more as we eat them.
