The Government in this country is sort of like a family of 5….. The Father (republicans) cares deeply for the first born child (rich)…. The Mother (Democrats) care deeply for the youngest child (poor)……. No one cares about the middle child (Middle Class). It is time for these 2 parties to stop having control over the country and take it back. So I am forming a new party called ” The Middle Class Party “. I want to represent the people of this country who aren’t represented by anyone. Vote for me in 2012 thanks

I have been pondering lately what I should expect as an American. I have given a lot of thought to this issue of rights vs. expectations.

So I wanted to share with the world my opinion. Let me start by saying I have been both poor and middle class in my lifetime. I know what it was like to stand in line for Govt. Cheese. I also know what it is like to go blow a whole lot of money on a vacation just because I could.

Having said that I think it is important to understand that in my opinion when this great country of ours was formed it was done so on the blood sweat and tears of some truly amazing people. They created this country to give people an opportunity in life to succeed and have the ABILITY to live the American dream.

We are all given the ability to reach this dream. Sure for some it is harder to achieve than others. Absolutely some are held down in a horrible situation. Some people fight and struggle their whole lives just to get ahead and some are born into a silver spoon life and dont have to try at all in life.

The fact is this we as Americans have basic rights but far too often people are demanding and expecting the Govt to step in and make it easier for them to reach the American dream.

There is no right to receive welfare or health care or bailouts or stimulus plans or any of the other things OUR govt is using to try and buy off people.

You all are given the right to liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness. No one is guarunteed to reach real happiness. The fact is people who expect the govt to take care of them and their needs wont find happiness in it. True happiness can only come from finding it and making it yourself.

I wish people would stop all these entitlement programs and I wish people didnt expect them as a right just for being an American.

I realize people need a helping hand on occasion as I know my family did. I also know I am greatful it was there. I am even more happy that my family worked hard to get off of them.

If our govt spent more time on meeting basic needs and stopped trying to buy votes and keep people in the situations they are in as a whole this great country would be much better off.

Sincerely
CB

I just filled out my 2010 US census…..it took me 1 sec to write the number 4 and 3 secs to put it in the envelope. I dont know why they want all the other info but they wont be getting it from me.

Legally all you are required to do is list how many people live at the residence. The rest of the info is non sense and NOT important to anything to do with the US Govt. I do realize how important it is to send back the census and how it does help in important ways.

For an example:

It is predicted that New Orleans will lose about 300k residents on this census where as Provo, Utah will gain about 100k.

Why is this important?

New Orleans will lose 1-2 of their US REPS…… Provo will gain 1.

The same is true for Detroit and Cleveland and Youngstown….. they will all lose US reps.

While traditionally conservative areas will be gaining seats in the US house.

This is a wonderful aspect of the US CENSUS and probably the only good aspect.

This is just me shouting out to the world what I believe in and what I stand for in this little part of the world I call my home.

I am a CONSERVATIVE or maybe I am a REAGAN DEMOCRAT or possibly a TEA PARTY member I am not fully sure yet. I realize now having been politically active for 25 years of my 34 on this earth that truly now more than ever there is no one political group that represents me as a whole only certain parts of my beliefs.

I am 100% behind Smaller Government and Less taxes.

I am pro gun control…… to me gun control means I control my guns not you Uncle Samantha.

I am against abortion…… as a form of BIRTH CONTROL. In cases of rape, incest, and mothers health I can accept that as a neccesary abortion.

Stem Cell Research I have no problem with except that I think there are better ways to get the cells other than killing a possible life…… Donate your placenta blood ladies please.

States Rights are a MUST in my eyes. If I live in a state that doesnt want to be forced to govern the same way as another state I should be allowed to do that.

Gay Marriage….. this is a tough one for me as I dont really see the issue with it personally but my church does teach me to support traditional family so I do so. The best way in my mind to fix this issue is by one of two ways….. 1.)let states decide what they want to do about gay marriage. 2.) take marriage out of the GOVT period and let it be solely a church policy only.

Gays in the military…… I dont care what someone is if they want to serve my country and defend my life and freedoms then they have my full support.

Health Care is simple give every citizen the same health care as CONGRESS gets or stay the heck out of the insurance business.

Capitalism is what has made this country what it is today. When did it become a bad thing for companies of any type to make a profit? Stop with all this socialistic regulation of Private Companies NOW.

Illegal Immigration….. if I break the law I get prosecuted why not them too. Round up all illegal immigrants (that means you to illegal Canadiens) deport them all back home. Then set a Immigration policy that allows people to come here legally easier.

Borders and the military….. First, bring home all our troops from around the world and close down all those bases. Put all those troops on all borders and the ocean and defend THIS COUNTRY not the ones who don’t want us.

Foriegn Aide….. we give billions of dollars to nearly every country in the world. STOP THAT NOW. Give the money back to the people of the United States of America.

Environment ….. First off I love my earth and I am an avid hunter and fisher. I fully support doing everything ech of us can to save and protect her. Global Warming is a business nothing more and nothing less. I recycle and try to reduce my energy consumption. I dont litter and I support cleaning up the earth fully.

Death Penalty…… I use to be for it then I was against it. To me it seems like such a horrible thing to have to do. I feel bad for the people who have to execute a person and those who have to watch. It just seems like there has to be a better way to deal with these animals.

I am sure I will find more opinions of mine to share sooner or later. SO I will be updating this section as often as possible

“Colonel Sanders remains a Kentucky icon,” Fletcher wrote last week. “His success story has been an inspiration to many. The industry he began has employed hundreds of thousands of workers over the years. His business and his legacy have been good for Kentucky.”

Anderson has been involved in a public relations campaign with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to raise awareness of what she calls abuse of chickens in processing plants that supply poultry to the Louisville-based chicken chain.

The Judiciary Committee favorably recommended Samuel Alito’s Supreme Court nomination to the full Senate on a party-line vote Tuesday, moving the conservative jurist one step closer to joining the high court.

All 10 Republicans voted for Alito, while all eight Democrats voted against him. The partisan vote was almost preordained, with 15 of the 18 senators announcing their votes even before the committee’s session began.

The full Senate expects to take a final vote on Alito’s nomination before the end of the week. That vote is also expected to follow along party lines, with only one Democrat — Ben Nelson of Nebraska — coming out so far in support of Alito. Republicans hold the balance of power in the Senate 55-44, with one independent.

Senate Republicans say Alito is a good choice for the nation’s highest court.

“Like America’s founders, Judge Alito clearly believes in self-government, that the people and not judges should make law, and that judges have an important role but must know and stay in their proper place,” said Sen. Orrin Hatch (news, bio, voting record), R-Utah.

But Democrats are fretting that the 55-year-old jurist and former lawyer for the Reagan administration will swing the court to the right and help overturn precedent-setting decisions like Roe v.
