Restaraunt Review…..PF CHANGS.

January 21st, 2006

So I went to PF Changs tonight for dinner with some friends. Let me start off with the food. First, we had 3 appetizers. We ordered the Lettuce wraps, they were a favorite with the whole group a perfect 10. Then, we had the salt and pepper calamari, It was perfectly fried and seasoned to a greatness one can’t describe with justice. Another perfect 10. Then we ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna….it was a disappointment to the whole group. It was over seasoned and the mustard sauce was way to powerful, it left us wondering if it was Tuna we were eating after all. I give it a 4.

Our main courses were delivered in perfect timing after we finished all of our appetizers. In no particular order we had the Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao chicken (2 people ordered this), Chow Mein Combo, Sichuan Chicken Chow Fun, And the Chow Mein Chicken. The Mongolian Beef (my personal fav) was delicious as always. It scored a 9. The Kung pao was done to a good degree of delightfulness it scored a 7 and an 8 from the 2 ladies who ordered it. The Chow Mein Combo was a disappointment to its orderer it received only a 6, The Chicken Chow Mein ordered by the Beautiful Mrs. Conservative Buckeye received rave reviews except for the slimy mushrooms (she hates mushrooms though) she gave it a solid 8. My vote for the surprise of the night goes to the Sichuan Chicken Chow Fun, It was made with thick large delicious noodles that tasted almost like dumplings, the sauce was well prepared and overall it was enjoyed by everyone. It received a 9.5.

The overall experience was lowered by being placed right next to the kitchen door, and a rude hostess who wasn’t very patient. The Food was enough to give the restaurant an overall score of 7.5 which isn’t bad for a chain restaurant.  I know for sure I will return and I will order the Sichuan Chicken Chow Fun. For $8.95 it is a must order for its taste, presentation, and size. It is truly a FUN dish.

Faith & Values

Brandon Lewis, 26, studies the Book of Mormon in a classroom of the new Institute of Religion near the Ohio State University campus.

Spiritual abundance

Way to go Brandon. Good job and what a good example you are to all of us. It is a good thing you were reading scriptures and not hitting on girls though. Makes you look a lot more intellectual.

My Name is Earl and The Office.

January 19th, 2006

These two shows are two of the funniest on T.V. (Scrubs is up there as well). I really enjoy 2 characters a lot.

First, there is Randy from My Name is Earl. He is by far the dumbest most loveable character since Barney Fife. His being afraid of chickens and the popes hat (just because it looks like a chicken could fit in the hat) was seriously one of the funniest bits I have ever seen on T.V. He adds a lot of humor to a show that is well written and even better delivered by the actors on the show. It is a must see show if ever there is one.

Second, is a guy that gets little acclaim for his job on the show The Office. He is known as Michaels #1 sidekick Dwight, He is a easily one of the best know it all and not know anything characters since Frank Burns from M.A.S.H. He is really that guy in every office everywhere that everyone hates and makes fun of all the time. He is oblivious to everything around him, Thankfully or he would definately go postal on the office for everything they do to him. When he was on his way to Michaels house to help him after he burned his foot in a George Foreman grill and he wrecked his 1985 Firebird into the light pole in the parking lot and then got out and threw up all over his sweet car and then drove off like nothing happened. I almost threw up myself from laughing so hard.

I implore any fan of good comedy and acting to please watch these 2 shows and hopefully you will enjoy them as much as I do.

American Idol Controversy…..

January 19th, 2006

“American Idol” has found itself in the middle of another scandal. Derrell and Terrell Brittenum belted their way through the auditions Tuesday night, earning them a one-way ticket to Hollywood. But now it seems the only thing the brothers will see is the inside of a Georgia jail.

According to police reports, the twins are being arrested for forgery, theft and identity fraud after they used another man’s identity to buy a car. Terrell is in jail today, as police hunt for his twin brother Derrell.

“I don’t know what to say,” Simon told us. “Nothing surprises me on the show…come clean, guys! “

“Idol” producers haven’t revealed whether or not the twins will return to the competition, but it’s probable that when the contestants gather in Hollywood on February 8, they will be singing the blues from behind bars.

Regardless the outcome of the Brittenum brothers, the show will go on!

Another Top recruit for the Bucks…..This one is from that state up north.

January 19th, 2006

A DB from The “M” state has verbally committed to the Bucks.

Ohio State added a fourth defensive back to its recruiting class yesterday with the commitment of Michigan prospect Aaron Gant.

Gant, 6 feet, 205 pounds, of St. Mary’s Prepatory School in Orchard Lake, Mich., became the 17 th member of a class that could number 18 to 20 on signing day Feb. 1. Gant hopped on board, he said, because “I was feeling it, that Ohio State is the right place for me.”

It will be interesting to find out, perhaps as soon as today, whether his St. Mary’s teammate Anthony Bowman is feeling it, too. Bowman, a blue-chip all-purpose player, had committed to Iowa but backed off recently. He visited Ohio State this past weekend with Gant.

Gant, meanwhile, canceled a scheduled visit to Michigan this weekend. He was a safety and running back (with just more than 1,000 yards on 156 carries) last season, and was also being courted strongly by Michigan State and Illinois.

He will play defense at Ohio State, he said. Though he was aware of the early departures to the NFL of safety Donte Whitner and Ashton Youboty, he said that was not the primary reason he picked the Buckeyes.

“I know that wherever I go, I’m going to have to work hard and prove myself,” Gant said.

1994 beating death

Jonathan J. Gravely

Bond set at $1 billion in Hummer killing Bond was set at an extraordinary $1 billion this morning for a man accused of killing a college student in a 12-year-old mystery that police say they were able to solve with the help of DNA evidence.Judge Scott VanDerKarr set the bond when Jonathan J. Gravely made his initial appearance in Franklin County Municipal Court on a charge of murder in the 1994 death of Stephanie Hummer, an 18-year-old Ohio State University freshman.
